Poor Boy's Gourmet Restaurant
Poor Boy's Gourmet Restaurant , located on lower Main Street in Bar Harbor,
has become our favorite restaurant this past year. The food is very good,
over this summer we and our friends have sampled some of the following
items from the menu:
Chicken and Veal Piccata, Scallops Wrapped in Prosciutto, Trout Paté,
Garlic Bread, Fresh Fish specials (salmon, halibut and others), both
sautéed and boiled lobster, Caesar Salad, Various Pasta dishes and
desserts. They have everything there, (well almost). Kathleen Fields is
well known for her cheesecakes, if you have room, and the other desserts
are wonderful as well.
The presentation of all the dishes is very good, and service is friendly
and attentive.
The restaurant is handicap accessible, dress is casual, and prices are
very reasonable. There is a dining porch, an outside garden and some dining
inside.
