Early Bird Specials
You've hiked or biked all day, had lunch on the trail, and you're ready for
a nice big dinner to restore your energy levels. Take advantage of the many
restaurants offering early bird specials and fill up without emptying your
wallet.
The West Street Café is a
family restaurant located by the waterfront in Bar Harbor. Early bird
specials are from 11:30 to 6:30 daily. Their menu consists of standard
Downeast fare: salmon, shrimp, lobster, haddock, crabcakes, and fish 'n
chips, with additional selections of salads, steaks, chicken, and a children
's menu.
Mama DiMatteo's, near the Village Green in Bar Harbor, has a menu of
regional American cuisine, pastas and seafoods, with nightly soup, entrée
and drink specials. Be seated between 5:00 and 6:00 and receive your second
entrée at half price. For the pasta lover, try the bottomless bowl - all
you can eat spaghetti marinara, linguine with clam sauce or fettucine
alfredo and a tossed green salad for only $8.95.
For authentic Italian cuisine, drop in to Anthony's Cucina Italiana [191
Main St. Bar Harbor] where they offer early, early bird specials from 11:00
am to 4:00pm and early bird specials from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm. Two dinners
for one low price: $15.99 for early, early diners; $17.99 for regular
early birders. Choose from many entrees including: homemade lasagna, chicken
parmesan, shrimp scampi, shrimp or scallop alfredo or marinara, baked salmon
and baked haddock. Early bird lobster with pasta and slaw from noon to 6:00
pm is only $10.99 for a single, $18.99 double.
Poor Boy's Gourmet on lower Main
St. has a $7.95 early bird menu from 4:30 - 6:00 pm featuring eggplant
parmigiana, apricot chicken, shrimp marinara, shrimp fra diablo, and baked
stuffed haddock. All you can eat pasta is only $7.95 - choose from marinara,
alfredo, primavera, meranga, clam sauce, and more.
